With in an hour i returned this. I told the return person it is probably the battery in the remote. No interest in grabbing a battery to test it out.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This product worked like magic right out of the box. Follow the simple instructions and you should have zero problems. The distance from my master bedroom to the outdoor Christmas lights receptacle is easily 80 feet and the response is excellent. Heading out at midnight to turn off the Christmas tree lights is a thing of the past!

Q: why is this advertised as a timer? It is not a timer and nor is it programmable from the remote as it says. you can simply turn it on and off only from the remote or from the device itself.
