What is the difference between hand towels and bath towels?

Hand towels are smaller and designed to dry your hands. Since they’re usually large enough to wrap around your waist or torso, bath towels are the best choice for drying off after a shower or bath. They’re also thicker and more absorbent than hand towels.

What hand towels are most absorbent?

Towels made from 100% cotton provide the most absorbency. Cotton towels are also durable, quick-drying, and perfect for daily use.

How many hand and bath towels should I have for the house?

As a rule, it’s best to have at least two bath towels, two hand towels and two washcloths for every adult in your home. If you tend to have guests staying over often, you may want to keep extra towels aside for them.
