What size air compressor do I need to inflate tires?

When looking for the best tire compressor size, there are a few key factors to consider. Check the PSI (pounds per square inch) and CFM (cubic feet per minute) ratings, as well as the tank size. Typically, you will need about 4 CFM to run a tire inflator, and you can fill up most vehicles with a 90 PSI compressor. As a general rule, the maximum PSI of the air compressor should be greater than (or at least equal to) the recommended inflation pressure of the tire.
