There is a difference—opening kits focus on restarting your pool's systems for summer, while closing kits concentrate on storing and protecting your pool until next season. A pool opening kit usually includes essentials like algaecide to prevent green algae growth, testing strips to check your pool's chemistry and a clarifier solution to quickly clear the water. This allows you to kickstart your pool's pump and get the water moving and circulating right away. A pool closing kit (sometimes called a pool winterizing kit) tends to feature items like chemical balancing solutions to help keep the water clear and reduce cleanup time in the spring.

Additional information for residents of Quebec only: The regular annual rate for persons applying for the Triangle Mastercard and the Triangle World Elite Mastercard is 21.99% for cash transactions and related fees and 21.99% for all other charges.
