How long can you drive on a plugged tire?

The shorter you drive with a plugged tire, the better. Plugged tires are a temporary fix, and it is recommended to replace the tire or get it professionally patched for a more long-term repair.

Are tire repair kits worth it?

It’s always good to be prepared for emergency situations. Having a tire repair kit on-hand can be useful if you need to do a DIY roadside repair on a punctured tire or if you don’t have a spare tire with you.

Are tire repair kits permanent?

Tire repair kits are temporary fixes and are not meant to be a permanent solution. The repair should hold long enough to get to an auto shop for a permanent replacement. Visit your local Canadian Tire Auto Service Centre and have one of our auto service professionals perform the replacement.
