Which air compressor fittings/connectors will fit my air hose?

Most air compressor hose fittings and connectors are either 3/8-in or 1/4-in, which corresponds to the two types of air hose diameters. Reducer and increaser fittings can adjust the output diameter to match thread sizes to each other.

Which compressor fittings/connectors do I need for my air tools?

Quick connect fittings are a must-have if you use a lot of air tools or switch between them often. A pressure regulator can be important if you use air paint sprayers or other pressure-sensitive tools and can also be useful for filling tires. Tee fittings let you connect multiple tools to one air hose, and valves give you control over which tool is consuming air. Air compressor accessory kits are a good way to cover a range of air tool fittings in a convenient, affordable package.

How to connect air hose fittings?

Quick connect fittings just need to be pushed into place to lock. Other fittings can pair different diameters and are generally threaded so they can be screwed into place. It can be helpful to double check diameters so you always get fittings that will match your setup.
