What are the different types of electrical conduits?
1. PVC conduits – PVC is light and commonly used for applications requiring non-metal electrical conduit. These are generally easy to install, corrosion-resistant and longer-lasting.
2. Rigid Metallic conduit – These are usually made of galvanized steel or aluminum making them very strong and durable. This kind of conduit is ideal for areas with heavy machinery, or exposure to chemicals.
3. Liquid tight flexible non-metallic conduit – This type of conduit is flexible and liquid/corrosion resistant making it suitable for outdoor or wet locations, as well as areas prone to corrosion like attics, basements and kitchens.
