What is a mouse sander?

Mouse sanders are simply a type of detail sander that use a triangular sandpaper pad. Another kind of detail sander is an orbital sander, which uses a round sandpaper pad, typically used on larger surface areas. Their respective names are used to distinguish their specific function in the sanding phase of a woodworking project.

What is the best detail sander?

There are many manufacturers that make detail sanders, so choose whichever one suits your budget best. Mastercraft detail sanders and Black & Decker mouse sanders are always great choices for finishing up tricky edges and corners.
