When is the best time to use or add pool algaecide?
Algae killer for pools should be used and added only after you have shocked your pool. Once you have added chlorine or non-chlorine pool chemicals to the water, and you have waited until the chlorine levels have returned to normal then you can begin to add the correct amount of algaecide to several places around your pool.
