There are many simple steps you can take to maintain a roof, such as cleaning your gutters and inspecting your shingles for damage at least twice a year, or after every major windstorm. Checking your attic or ceilings for signs of leaks is a good way to know when and where problems are starting.

Is it better to repair or replace a roof?

Repair is a cost-effective way to stretch the life of a roof and prevent other problems such as leaks and rot. That said, most roofs require replacement once they're old and damaged.

What is included in roof maintenance?

Cleaning, inspection, removing or trimming tree branches that are growing close to your roof are all parts of maintenance. Applying roof sealant, patches, or roof coating can fix leaks and keep a roof in good condition for longer.

How much does it cost to repair a whole roof?

If your entire roof needs repair, it's best to contact a roofing company or contractor to see what your best option is. Generally, a roof that's gotten to the point of needing total repair might need replacement or intense restoration, jobs best suited to the professionals.
