What should I look for when purchasing a comfortable and secure cat carrier?

Cat carriers are available in different sizes and materials. Most popular cages are made of hard plastic or fabric material, suitable for car transport. However, choosing the right carrier can help your pet stay safe and calm during stressful situations. An ideal cat cage will have enough room for your pet to stand, turn around and lie down. Make sure the carrier is a manageable size, as cramped quarters can leave your cat feeling uncomfortable. Invest in cat crates with one or more openings to easily get them inside or out. Sometimes the cage's floor gets soiled by bodily fluids so designs made of plastic and other easily cleanable materials are perfect for such situations. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the cage, and if your cat is particularly queasy, placing some towels on top of the cage creates a dark, soothing environment.

A pet door flap helps your kitten enter or leave your house without the need to open the door. Cat door flaps are available in various sizes.
