Not designed for cold weather

We're here to help! It sounds like your lock is jamming and this can be caused by weather changes that can affect the door, making it expand or shift. To fix this, we recommend making sure the lock was installed with the latch fully extended, measuring the door frame jamb hole to ensure that it's a full 1 inch deep, and checking that the door is properly aligned. Make sure that the mounting bolts aren't too tight on the mounting plate, loosen them a quarter turn and perform the manual door handing process:
1. Open the door and extend the latch to the locked position.
2. Remove the battery pack.
3. Press and HOLD the Program button while reinserting the battery pack—release button once the battery pack is installed. The status LED will flash red and green.
4. Press the Program button once more and release.
5. The latch bolt will retract about halfway in and then extend to learn the orientation of the door.
