Getting ready to do a return. On our second time using the BBQ the cheap labelling on one of the controls peeled off and then that knob/valve broke. The instructions are terrible and incomplete. And with regards to ordering ease, even though I indicated who would be picking the BBQ up and the person had the confirmation code, Canadian Ture refused to release it because he didn't have the PIN that was buried in another email.

I thought Vermont Castings was a classically sound company in relation to Stoves! Salesman sold it as the best. Should have done my homework! It has hundreds of parts in getting it assembled….problems getting igniter to work as no clear instruction on the wiring setup! Had an electrician come and he finally got it to work! Yay! Next day I had a bbq and I couldn’t get temp higher than 250 degrees. No temps on the knobs….this is a problem! This model has a stove and grill setting! Way too much! Rented a U-Haul truck and my daughter and I took it back. So much effort! No problem with Canadian tire accepting returns. I’d say a hard no on this one! Bought a 3 burner Weber…..same price and ease of everything!

We're sorry to hear about your ignition issue. Please Note the 2 Larger ignition wires are colour coated green. The other 4 smaller ignition wires are all black.
Note: As long as you're placing the 2 larger ignition wires in the larger ports and the 4 smaller ignition wires in the smaller ports, there is no particular there is no set placement. Just ensure you're pushing each ignition wire firmly until you feel a "click" into place.
There is an interactive 3D app called BILT that is free to download for both iPhone and Android users. Many customers find it helpful during assembly as you can pause, zoom in, rewind and rotate the assembly instructions. There are QR codes and call outs to the app throughout the assembly manual.

Would have given a higher rating if the instructions were clearer...we had to "Guess" with the wires....says the batteries all go in one way..What?? Over six hours putting it together...The video didn't match the model, etc... no option for a rotisserie or side burner.. Non of the B.B.Q.'s have side burners anymore.. Why? Other than that, rant over, the Quality overall is Very good! The "TempASSURED" is what drew me to this B.B.Q. It holds it's temp. You can either BBQ mode or Bake mode. Fits my huge cookie sheet too!
