I grabbed this pressure cooker because it was on sale and a wonderful size lots of preset functions. It says stainless steel. The inside where you cook the food looks like it's coated with something. The lid seems to have an aluminum splatter shield lining to it. I was disappointed to see this. I am not a fan of cooking anything in aluminum. Although it is the lid I believe the pressure from the steam it will still seep into the food. It took quite some time to heat up on the saute mode. Not sure if I'll use it. It's great for a family large size if you're not opposed to an inside aluminum lid.

Q: I need stainless steel pot for 6 qt cooker

    1 Answer

A: Not as good as my other one. It doesn't keep steam in anymore because a small part inside the lid came off abd I don't know how or when. Not impressed and you cannot set for any time over 1 hour. Not recomnending

Q: How do people get items through contests and promotions? And then they review the items. I need cookware and small kitchen appliances.

A: No such contests currently being offered by Canadian Tire that I am aware of. There is currently only a contest for Students.

Q: Has anyone else noticed steam releases even when the valve is set to cook? I haven't had any success at pressure cooking chickpeas or beans without all the steam being released throughout the cooking duration.
