Deformed and not a universal 6" fit

So I am new to using a DA polisher, the first pad I used had a wobble, I thought at first just my inexperienced technique. After I wasn't able to keep it flat and consistent I tried another pad, this one worked as you would want, went to next step pad and again, as you would want. Then to the other side of the vehicle and a new pad. another wobble. My dad had some more professional grade pads, he said give this a try. Oh his was actually a 6" attachment point also, the Simoniz is not, its 5 1/8" to the backing pad with the polishing side being 6".
That makes it tricky to get centered, when 2 of them having the Velcro fabric offset from centre. Do not recommend at all

Had great results using with Simoniz Platinum paint correction compound but I probably ran the pad too long as just before the last panel it failed and separated from the backing.

Q: Can the Platinum polish pad be washed and used again? If so how would you recommend washing it?

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Mr W. The Simoniz Platinum Polish Pad can be reused as long as it isn’t too worn or soiled. Best practice would be to use a compressor to blow the pad out or a small soft brush to scrub it out after each section of the car. Upon completion, you can wash the pads in a cool water gentle cycle with mild detergent. You can also wash them by hand in the sink with some dish soap. You should dry them face down on a microfiber towel. Happy Cleaning!

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Greg. This Polishing pad has a hook and loop backing and can be compatible with any orbital sanders that can fasten with this type of system.
