Good entry pad

I’ve been using these Simoniz pads for a couple years now on my 7424xp, pairing them with Meguiars Ultimate Compound. They do an awesome job with swirl marks and other mild defects, perfect for the DIYer who wants to improve gloss but also wants to preserve their clear coat as much as possible. I wouldn’t recommend them for heavier correction or professional applications. But for what I need (weekend warrior, occasional stuff for friends) they’ve been great!
Results in photos obtained with full decontamination and a two step process with Simoniz Platinum Compound Pad and Meguiars Ultimate Compound, followed by Simoniz Platinum Polishing Pad and Meguiars Ultimate Polish. Sealant was applied after photos.

A: The 3 step process is for those looking for a complete paint restoration on their vehicle. The first step is for severe paint surface oxidation, contaminants and scratches which the corresponding pad has a higher density to better aid with the process. The second step is for moderate paint surface oxidation, contaminants and scratches which the corresponding pad has a set density to better aid with the process. The third step is for light paint surface oxidation, contaminants and scratches which the corresponding pad has the least density of the 3 to better aid with the process. It should be noted that this is an overview of the steps and the instructions on each product should be followed to ensure no damage occurs through the process. - 039-6508 and 039-6511 (6 and 7” compound pad) is step 1, to be used with the Simoniz Paint Restoration Compound (039-2709) - 039-6509 and 039-6512 (6 and 7” polish pad) is step 2, to be used with the Simoniz Polishing Compound (039-1040) - 039-6510 and 039-6513 (6 and 7” finishing pad) is step 3, to be used with the Simoniz Finishing Glaze (039-2735)
