Q: What size are the holes for the support pegs? My movers lost all pegs and I need to purchase more to install the shelves.

A: The holes for the support pegs are quite small as the pegs fit in tightly. My bookcase is all put together and I could not see a number on the head of the support peg or any id Sorry that I cannot be more specific.

A: It can be painted. You will have to treat it and sand the glossy finish off and then use a good quality paint.

Q: The display shelf shows that it is one long piece but all the boxes show the bookshelf is two side parts stacked on top of each other. Can you no longer get the display bookshelf?

A: I can’t answer the question as to where or not you can buy the store display unit. The back of the bookshelf does come in one piece but for purposes of packing and shipping it is folded in half lengthwise.

A: The Sauder Salted Oak 5-Shelf Bookcase has a paperboard back panel. The back panel is finished on one side with the Salt Oak laminate. The back of the back panel is black.
