Bear stole my new garbage

Bears are too smart, this is false advertising. LITERALLY the next day after purchasing, a bear physically took this garbage can like a packed lunch into the woods and broke it open. I had to track down the garbage and cleanup, this is not animal proof.

Q: Is it water/moisture proof? I need to store animal feed without the wrong type of animals getting into it. I'll be kept in a lean-to shack, but the type of feed I need to store absolutely can't get wet or really moist as it will grow mold. How dry do the contents inside stay?

Q: I have disabililties and I would like to know if it will be difficult for me to open. I live with fibromyalgia in a severe form and my hands are often weak and painful. How hard is it to open all the straps on this lids? Have you tested anyone with arthritis? Thanks
