Q: Why are feet listed as a unit of measurement on something way smaller than 12 inches? Why would anyone need to know how many feet deep a mason jar lid is? I don't understand the logic there

A: Don1: I understand the reason, I just don't understand why a person would ever need to know how many feet deep an 8.66-inch mason jar lid is? 8 inches is not a foot! I know this is a ridiculous thing to get so upset about but I am. Canadian Tire seems to think "the more kinds of units of measurement we can show for our product specifications, the better, even if it doesn't actually make sense to measure that product that way". I think it's bizarre and annoying. I also think I shouldn't be spending my mental energy on being so upset about it, but I am. I'll stop ranting now.
