Works well, it is nice to take it apart to clean it making it easier to clean it properly, simple to use, it would be better though if the dial for slice thickness had numbers on it to make it easier to get a more precise slice thickness

Don't use on Sourdough Bread

I bought this slicer for sourdough bread. It worked well for two loaves (baked the day before) and then it stopped working. The blade no longer turns.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Difficult to clean

I expected this product to be better at this price point. The slicer does not maintain the thickness of slices, the adjustment keeps going off.
The slices are also thinner in the other end, so no consistency in single slices either.
There is huge bulge right after the blade, making it impossible to slice anything thicker than 2mm.
It's also super difficult to clean, as there are too many crevices, where meat grinds can get into - it's huge job to clean it after use.
Invest your money on professional gear instead.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: I doubt it but so far we've only sliced bacon with it. It is a good quality slicer, I would ask Paderna.

A: Hello, thank you for your question. The gears are made of plastic however the motor is not. Based on our testing, the gears can sustain a total of 100 hours of normal operation. Our durable plastic gears and a DC motor offer a quieter operation than metal gears. Hope this helps.
