Lasts about a year.

First one and then the other side stopped staying down. Not due to lack of cleaning. Special screws on bottom require special tool, so fixing out of the question. Last toaster worked for years and years without issues. This toaster lasted about a year.
No, I do not recommend this product.

We love the look of the toaster and how well it actual toasts. With 6 levels of toasting it’s great. However, the back lighting on the digital
scene is very poor. No matter what we tried we cannot see the screen symbols to operate it. Unfortunately because of this we are returning it.

The display was hardly visable no matter what we tried,said take it back and the return desk was very good. Had to buy another toaster ( same brand but no fancy stuff) at another store. You cant win them all!

As others have posted - the display you can not see. There is no adjustment for brightness, if you go on their website to problem solve the issue it tells you to buy one that has adjustment (doesn't reference any model). The pictures they advertise are misleading. If you were in a completely blacked out room it might match the pictures they advertise. Plus the one we got some one else returned, looks like they used it once and probably discovered the same issue and returned it.

The Oster® 4-Slice Touchscreen Toaster should be illuminated (please refer to the photo on our website). Once the Toast Lever returns to the up position, the indicator lights will turn off. Please note that if the toaster cycle is not started or a selection is not made within 30 seconds, the unit will return to an idle state. Also, two minutes after the last cooking cycle, the unit will return to its idle state. We hope this helps. Have a good day!
