Keeps losing connection to the cloud

My experience with this product was very poor. First, my sensor keeps losing connection to the cloud, despite being close to a WiFi router. When this happens, you don't get any notification of water leaks...I tested it. So, it's unreliable...exactly what you don't need for a water sensor. Second, I went to the website for help, was directed there to a helpline, but was told on the helpline that they can't help with Noma products! And there is no online help that I could find. Even the manual doesn't have any help for faults. There are cheaper water sensors on the market...I'll try them as I can't afford an unreliable sensor.
No, I do not recommend this product.

We recently received a NOMA iQ Smart Wi-Fi Flood & Water Leak Sensor. The unit is easy to install and having it in my basement gives me a great peace of mind knowing I will be alerted should my water tank or my freezer chest is leaking.

The Noma IQ Wifi enabled Flood & water sensor is an excellent appliance which keeps my home safe from any kind of leakages. I have placed it in my washing area, and am so relieved, as its alarm beeps in case of any potential damage. The Noma IQ app is well equipped to send you notifications in case of any devastating water leaks. With the invariable recent rains and thunderstorms, I have also installed them in my basement, so I can travel or sleep at peace, stress free, without worrying about any property damages doe to potential water Leaks. It is available at Canadian Tire.

I love how easy it was to download and setup the app, it was very interactive and made setting up the device very seamless! Its easy to use too, you can set up multiple devices in different locations in the house and name them individually on the app.

Q: The product sends a notification to the app but I don’t get any indication that something is wrong. It is not sending me any alerts. I have notifications set up for a sound on my phone but none are sent.
