Not compatible with Noma LED string lights

Warning to all would-be buyers. Please note that the male plug socket included with this product (and in the 10 male socket pack sold separately) are NOT compatible with regular Noma LED string lights (such as the 33'8" C6 strand). The socket provided (and purchased separately) feature polarized prongs (i.e. one is wider than the other) whereas the Noma LED string lights female sockets are non-polarized (both sockets are the same size, the same size as the narrower prong on the male socket).

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello kferg083. Thank you for sharing your experience. However, I need to point out that the reason the NOMA Advanced Bulk Wire you are reviewing has polarized plug ends is because of safety. This is in accordance with Canadian Safety Regulations. This is done to ensure this Bulk Wire is not plugged into Christmas Light Sets that are non-polarized. If you plug this Bulk Wire into the wall first, then adding Christmas Light Strings on the end, it is not a problem. You just can't plug the Christmas Light Set into the wall first, and then add this Bulk Wire after. (side note: This regulation prevents people from using Light Strings as extension cords. for power tools - Sadly, I've seen people try it) We are sorry that this product does not match with your intended application. Please make sure to review all electrical codes when creating custom Christmas Lighting installation to ensure you have a safe and Merry Christmas.

CANNOT handle 1920 watts. Product Details is WRONG

Product Details on the website concerning the watts this can power 1920 watts is WRONG. At 8 amps this extension cord can only be used up to 960 watts (120V x 8 amp = 960 watts). They should make the necessary changes as someone may try to power something over 960 watts and cause a fire or worse..

This is a must have for anyone setting up Christmas lights. I love having an extension cord on hand. It is always a must have since it makes it easier with setting up lights, and especially if you have underestimated that your cord would make it to the outlet. Its nice knowing that this is usable indoors and outdoors with enough length for any lighting project you may have.

Q: Is the male end of the extension cord compatible with all Xmas string lights - meaning there is not a wider grounder part , both steel prongs need to be the same size

A: No!! I found out the hard way. They look like 2 narrow prongs on the picture but one is actually bigger and won't fit all christmas lights. I'm quite mad that Customer Service gave you a different answer!

Q: How do you figure we can power a 1920 watt appliance with only 8 amps at 120 volts? 18awg wire is not rated for 1920 watts. That's very dangerous to suggest that
