    Good value

Seems like a good value. Only time will tell. Float voltage runs at 12.3-12.4V, which was surprisingly lower than expected, but it’s discharge voltage slope is quite shallow.

Q: what voltage charger is used for the deep cycle battery?

    1 Answer

A: You would use a "12-volt" battery charger (but understand that 12-volt battery chargers actually charge to upwards of 15 volts because that is what is necessary to effectively charge a 12-volt battery).

Q: 2005 club car gas golf cart requires a battery, what do you have.

    1 Answer

A: We would need more information about what batteries are currently in your golf cart. Typically, these vehicles use 8 x 6-volt deep cycle batteries (however some set ups use 6 x 8-volt golf cart batteries). You can find some of the batteries listed under the Golf Cart Batteries section. Best to check for specifications on your current batteries and use them to match to a battery shown under Golf Cart Batteries.

Q: In prior question (4 yrs back) an answer stated bulk+absorb voltage was 14.1, float 13.5. Sorry to second-guess but the bulk/absorb seems low for a flooded battery. Before I program charge controller can you please confirm as correct for this battery. Thx

    1 Answer

A: As a true deep cycle battery, this product uses antimony in both the positive and negative plates, thus normal charging should be limited to 2.35V per cell at 20°C (so 6 x 2.35V = 14.1V). (Of course, reconditioning charges can be higher voltage.) To compensate for battery temperature not at 20°C, subtract 0.005 V/cell for each 1°C above 20°C; add 0.005 V/cell for each 1°C under 20°C.
