Poor drainage, plants suffering

This potting mix is awful for succulents. I would suggest literally any other brand would be better I re-potted 6 aloe plants and 2 jape plants with this mix and EVERY one of them has fungus gnats now despite the plants being in different locations. All the plants that I re-potted with the Jacks gritty mix I got from my uncle look amazing and healthy... no Gnats Stay away from this potting mix entirely

The Soil bag ripped open before I got to my car, so the seal was already compromised. I didn't think to much of it and used it anyways. I am currently fighting a fungus gnat infestation from this soil. Canadian tire usually carries soil that is gnat free or has very few at least. I was dissapointed with this purchase.

The soil you purchased is a natural product. While we do not sterilize the soil it is composted to kill any harmful insects and microbes. Unfortunately, soils may become infested with insects while in storage or while they are waiting for sale. In some cases, soils become infested with fungus gnats. Fungus gnats enter the bagged product through the tiny air holes in the bag that are necessary for the soil to "breathe". Fungus gnats are often mistaken for fruit flies. They do little damage but are unpleasant if present in large numbers.
