Mastercraft 8 inch dado stack

It is almost impossible to find a dado stack for an 8.5 inch table saw in Canada. Although the arbour length in my Dewalt 8.5 inch table saw will not allow the full width of this stack to be used, it will fulfil my craft needs. I was pleased to see this available at CTC and on sale!

Low grade

I bought this and even though it comes with a good timber box. There are no size charts for quick reference. There are no instructions.
The specifications advertised are completely wrong including part number.
Would be nice if shims had sizes printed on them Oh and blades, not just chippers.
Would not buy this product again. Cheap manufacturer.

Q: The package states that the blade is an " expandable set that easily adjusts to make precision flat bottom cuts and grooves". The blade I have does not make flat bottomed cuts. How do I adjust the blade set to do this?

A: This issue is most likely due to user error during installation of the DADO set. Please see below link and explanation for more information. The two main blades are not interchangeable. They must be installed with the highest tip on the teeth facing outwards. This will create a uniform and flat-bottomed cut. If the blades are reversed the bottom of the cut will have varying heights. A: The spacers are 1/8” thick, so it would be increments of 1/8” (3.175mm). Instructions in English and French are available. Please call our office for a copy at 1-800-387-8803. We do recommend you swipe the wood through the blade for final width accuracy, but this has been the rule of thumb.
