Horizon Go Series T101-07 Folding Fitness Treadmill

Easy to assemble - 2 people - with good directiins. CT team helped get into my van.

[This is our 2nd Horizon T101. We had the 1st one for 4 yrs, but I didn't lube it regularly as recommended, which resulted in damage to the walking belt and deck board. Online treadmill sites indicate that increased friction due to poor lubrication will also likely over stress the motor and motor control board, increasing the chance of their premature failure. Given all that, it seemed like a better idea to replace the machine than repair it - a costly lesson as to the need for regular lubrication]. We have found the T101 to be a nice machine. We use it for walking, but you could easily jog on it. The 20x55 walking area provides plenty of space, so no worries about tripping due to inadvertently stepping on the side rails or your foot dropping off the back end of the belt. It is quiet, sturdy, well built and the controls are easy to use and are intuitive. I watched the Horizon Fitness Canada assembly video and scanned the assembly documents prior to assembly. It was easy for me to assemble the machine by myself (only 10 bolts in all). Unpacking took about 30 min, assembly about 20 min, and belt/deck lubrication about 20 min (loosened the walking belt to apply lube and then re-tension it and centred it - easy to do). It is a pretty heavy machine, so well worth the extra $25 CTire charges to have it delivered to the room of your choice. The built in fan and speakers are ok, but you'll find a table top fan and ear buds work better. We were pleased with our T101-05 and I expect our experience will be the same with this T101-07 as it's essentially the same machine.

I bought this a year ago, after 5 months of very light usage the incline motor got stuck, called the support and sent a technician to fix it, 4 months later the same issue again, stuck on incline, called support came and fixed it. I asked the support personnel, why is the same issue repeating and why can't there be a permanent fix, And I asked the question what if the same part breaks after the 1 year warranty, they said they will look into it when it happens and will fix it, and guess what, after exactly 1 year and couple months same incline motor stuck, called support and they say the usual "Out of support and need to pay for a tech to check it and then extra for the parts ++". This is a ridiculous faulty equipment, avoid it at any cost. They should not be selling such treadmill at this high cost which breaks every 6 months with light use and customer service which does not honor what they say.

I cannot recommend this product. Reading some of the other reviews posted here, I agree the level of service in Canada is poor. The maintenance is difficult, like loosening the running belt and lubricating the running deck with silicone, which I performed at regular 3-month intervals as recommended. Within one year of use, I had to replace the running belt. It was worn out and was spitting out white fluffy cotton balls when we would use it. Soon it began to stick to the running deck and squeak while running despite being properly lubricated. I had registered my product online when I bought it, but because I was two weeks beyond the one-year warranty period when I called, Horizon would not replace the belt. I could order the part for $105 USD, and then pay a technician to change it. This treadmill is for light use only! Be warned! Not meant for daily heavy running. My son and I got a lot of use out of it, but it wore out within a year. Wound up selling it for parts.
