Longer is better

I bought 088-1763-0 but it does not fully extend out. One of the reviewers said in their post that you could extend to full length. Also as they mentioned the instructions are not in the manual. Can you provide me the instructions?

It comes assembled with all hardware needed to be installed even concrete bit. Installation was easy. Adjust the angle and leaving was so simple. Just follow all instructions. So far the motor work flawless. This awning is well worth its money.

Q: I know it says to mount it 10 feet above the ground. My deck is built 1 ft above the ground. So the 10 feet mounting above should be from the ground or from my deck? If I don't have bricks 10 feet above, can I mount at 9 ft instead?

A: Not many houses around here have brick exteriors, most are vinyl siding as mine is. In order to mount the brackets I removed some vinyl and sheathing then put 2x8 blocking between studs. It could also be installed on a ledger bolted into the studs. Either way it does require some construction.

A: Yes,I have.I put it up with a 2x6 x12 long as the base after finding the studs underneath the siding and used anchor screws to hold the awning, it works great

A: We have ours above the brick - took off a vinyl panel and mounted it to the wood frame beneath - do not mount on brick unless you have a few rows of brick above it or it will pull the brick away

A: To mount this awning to the wall you require a 12ft wall with a 10 ft opening. If your wall has only 10ft, we recommend Product# 088-1762 ( 10*8 ft awning).

Q: if I have vinyl siding and not brick wall, can the awning be mounted on a mounted 4x4 or 6x6 12 ft beam to anchor the awning to wall?I have mine on hold at pick up until i know the answer to this as I just saw the comments about no vinyl walls

A: We have one of these awnings and have installed it on the house by removing the vinyl siding, putting in a 2x6x12 beam under the soffit and attaching the awning to it. It’s been up for more than ten years and we’ve never had a problem with it.
