The box smelled more than the log itself. There was some pocket of scent from time to time but way less than expected. LOT of smoke. Burned to ashes in about 1 hour. One of the Canadian Tire employee said the log was at least five year old. Still, that thing was a lot of fun around the fire.

Q: How frequently do I need to de-grease my chimney after using these?

A: The KFC 11 Herbs & Spices Firelogs made by Enviro-Log burns cleaner than firewood emitting 30 percent less greenhouse gases, 80 percent less carbon monoxide and 86 percent less creosote. That being said we recommend you regularly have your chimney inspected for creosote build up, especially if you burn firewood on a regular basis.
