We bought this fan to replace an old one. We wanted something with a bit more power because we switched to a gas range. It was actually quite easy to install and the extra parts we needed to vent to the outside were easy to find. It isn't very loud even when on high and the lights work as lights do. Lol

Rear hole does not match

I bought this unit to replace an existing older Broan range hood. First problem…. Vent hole is offset a few inches compared to older unit so didn’t line up properly with existing hole in side of my home. Extremely unhappy about that but had to continue regardless as you’ve already pulled out the old unit and pulled the metal tangs off the new unit for the specific vent hole type you are using etc. Obviously you don’t discover this until old unit is removed and you’re trying to install new one. Second point….don’t believe instructions that this is a “one person installation”, you need a second pair of hands to safely do this. Unit works fine, but also unhappy about the halogen bulbs(?)…clearly newer LED lights would be more energy efficient and generate less heat. Unsure if I can replace bulbs with LEDs because of two level lighting switches. Otherwise unit is acceptable despite fan exhaust not going to be as efficient because of mismatch of vent holes. Beware of this and don’t assume if doing a replacement and measure very carefully so you know in advance before you tear everything apart!

A: I installed mine under cupboards above the stove. In your own situation, I would go to the Broan website and/or contact them with that question. There is one pic on this link that shows one that appears to be wall-mounted. https://broan-nutone.com/en-ca/range-hoods (right side of first page.

A: Il n'y a pas d'horaire fixe pour le remplacement des filtres de hotte. La durée de vie d'un filtre dépendra de facteurs tels que son entretien et la quantité de graisse, de débris et de chaleur auxquels il est exposé. Tout dépend de la fréquence à laquelle vous cuisinez et de votre type de cuisson. La hotte est très éfficace avec sortie extérieur et sans sortie extérieur.
