Build quality is good. Heats up literally in seconds. To turn the machine OFF there is a totally non-obvious combination of buttons to push - Breville really you could add a simple on/off button? annoying but not show stopper. Wait for it to come on sale.

There is a lot I appreciate about this machine. I purposely chose it over the bambino plus as I wanted manually milk frothing. This is a great machine to start learning espresso on. I appreciate not having to manage too many variables though I’m disappointed with the water temp. I can get my shot hotter by running the steam wand (messy!!) first and then running an empty shot. Ideally I’d want to have temp control but also appreciate that might a complex variable for me at this stage as well. Overall I’m happy and content with this purchase.

Functional. Easy to use. Learning curve not steep (first espresso machine); most of the learning curve is finding the right grind size for new (separate) grinder. Heats up fast; auto shut off is nice. Countertop footprint is not too large. Wall plug has a hole for easy grip for unplugging. Supplied tamper too lightweight and handle too small for comfortable use but easy to upgrade. Portafilter rests level on counter for easy tamping.
