I bought this 4 months ago. First chance of got to use it it only nailed two 1.5” Mastercraft brad nails before it quit shooting nails. I opened the magazine and the nails were not stuck. Nothing was jammed either. I reclined the magazine and I got 2 more nails in before the same thing happened. This time I could not open the magazine all the way. I could not find any info on the internet on these guns or anything on Bostitch / Stanley web site. I tried calling but got no answer. Finally got ahold of something/someone on the live chat option. They said I had to mail them the nail gun for warranty. Really? 4 nails and then I’m responsible to mail it to them? I highly recommend another brand.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Q: My nailer is newer. Bought dec 2020. It drives some nails all the way and some only part way. I oil before every use and psi is at 100. I am using correct gauge nails. Staples will not go in at all. Any thoughts?

    1 Answer

A: Hi Terry50, There is a depth adjustment dial at the top of the nose piece, it's a relatively small dial which will allow you to set the depth of the nail/staple you are driving. Another factor that comes into play is the material you are trying to drive the nail/staple. If it is a harder material you would need to adjust the dial to drive deeper. Hope you find this helpful to get your project complete

Q: can I use this to install hardwood flooring What is the maximum depth of nailer and what is the compressor specs needed to work this

    1 Answer

A: Technically, you can use this to install hardwood. It fires a narrow crown fastener, length will determine the thickness of the wood but a 1.5” staple would cover you for 3/8” to 5/8” flooring. The way this stapler is designed it was not made to easily install fasteners into the tongue of the floor board, but it can be done if necessary. I would recommend you try a flooring tool (580055) over the 2 in 1 (580052). As for a compressor spec, it all depends on how fast the end user is working. A small one-person trim compressor will work but I suggest using something a little larger to ensure it can keep up to the burst speed if the end user gets in a rhythm.
