Grinder died, started smoking, don't waste your money

I purchased the grinder 4 months ago, used it maybe 7 times. Used it twice in a row (maybe 30-45 seconds between grinds) to grind a bag of coffee, on the second grind, the unit itself started smoking. I unplugged it, left it for a day, tried to start it and it is fully dead. Do not purchase this.

This grinder is designed for at-home use and is not intended for continuous or commercial-scale grinding, especially at fine settings. For best results, we recommend grinding no more than the suggested 3 oz of beans at a time - enough to brew 9–12 cups, depending on your method. Grinding smaller batches not only helps preserve the motor but also ensures maximum freshness, as whole beans retain flavor longer than pre-ground coffee. Not pleased.

Relatively quiet operation in comparison to my old Black & Decker coffee grinder. I like the adjustment function. However, right out of the box, the jar would not detach from the main casing. It was stuck fast, making it difficult to clean the jar or transfer the ground coffee to the coffee maker. Wish I’d read the reviews before purchasing. For the price, it is a disappointment.

Just a note: this model features a safety mechanism that prevents operation unless the lid is correctly positioned. When viewed from underneath, the lid has three grooves - two L-shaped on the sides to latch into the base, and one straight groove that should face the back to align with the safety lock. You’ll know the lid is in the right orientation when the “BPA Free” text faces the front of the grinder. If the lid isn’t properly aligned, the device won’t power on. Thank you for your review!

Terrible quality.

Poor performance. I bought this in the Etobicoke store and two weeks ago and the it does not grind the beans properly. Very mediocre product.
