Maintain a beautiful lawn with the Yardworks 20V Cordless String Grass Trimmer, 10-in. This electric grass trimmer eliminates the need for socket plugs and runs on a reliable 20V max* Lithium-ion battery. Thanks to the powerful battery, you can easily maneuver it anywhere in the yard. The grass trimmer features an automatic line advancement system that quickly allows you to replenish the line when needed. The spool line diameter of this lawn trimmer is 0.065 inches (1.65 mm). For ease of use, you can adjust the lawn equipment to your desired height. The height-adjustment mechanism enables you to work from different postures. The trimmer also includes a flower guard so you can stay extra careful when trimming difficult areas around the yard. The flower guard is retractable and can be pulled out before trimming. The string grass trimmer's 10 inches (30.4 cm) cutting swath is ideal for use in small to medium-sized yards. The package includes (1) 20V 2Ah Lithium-ion battery and (1) charger.

Best Trimmer I've Ever Owned!!

I don't get the bad reviews here. Maybe just bad luck or people just don't take care? This has been an excellent trimmer for me - I've had it for the last six years, and the previous similar Yard Works model I had before this one was just as good and lasted almost as long. It's definitely been used a lot - took a bit to clean off the label which shows the date back to 2019, and it is now August 2025, and it is still going strong! I live on a rural acreage and my yard is roughly 4 acres. So I trim around structures, sidewalks, ponds and many trees. Battery still lasts a long time (about 30-45min, not continuous, as I go from structure to structure and tree to tree across the 4 acres). One of the best features with all that trimming is it is light weight, and has the power to trim as long as you keep it up with the regular mowing. The only poor feature is the automatic line feed - HATE THAT! It constantly over feeds the line - what happened to the tap and feed of the old days?? Or is Yard Works like the printer makers, selling consumables, like printer ink / trimmer line, rather than the actual device. I am constantly rewinding it manually to save line, because it just keeps going out and is cut off by the blade. Even though line is not expensive, it is still wasteful! In any case, I still give it 5 stars because it has been a such workhorse for many years, and it is still going. Also, buy it on sale if/when CT puts in on!

Works until you loose a spool cap and then you’re stuck buying a whole new trimmer because replacements aren’t available as they continuously change the models.

Q: Can you leave the battery in the recharger until you need to use it or do you need to remove the battery and unplug the charger?

A: I always take i the batter off when charged and unplug the charger. I store it all in a clear bin in the entrance closet so I know where it is and it's safe from freezing in the winter
