This simple yet sophisticated piece of hardware constantly relays its location over a cellular connection to Worx servers and right to your phone. In the unfortunate situation that your Landroid is taken outside of your property, you’ll receive an alert with its GPS coordinates and location on a map, so you can call the police and have it retrieved. In addition to being an anti-theft device, this black box tracks all sorts of activity data about the performance of your Landroid. You can count its “steps,” or how much of your yard it mows in a day and all sorts of other productivity stats.     WORX GPS FIND ME

    I bought this a year ago after my first landroid was stolen. A couple of weeks ago, the initial one year service expired. I debated renewing but chose to do it again and I am glad I did. This morning someone lifted the unit and I was notified. I immediately used the FIND ME feature and tracked it down about 2 miles from my home. It showed me it was in one of 4 cars as GPS is only so accurate. I stayed and waited for anyone to approach the cars and see the results on my phone. It took awhile but the thief went back to his car and I was able to track him to his house where I called police. I now have my unit back. It was worth the cost! Thank you!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although my lawn is concealed from view, I purchased this item to provide myself with a little more peace of mind. Some complain about the renewal of the sim periodically. In my opinion, nothing in the world is truly free

    Have ground wire setup but can’t run due to sim

    Spent the entire day setting up my ground wire and docking station only to find the mower won’t operate with the sim not activated. This is a feature for theft, so why is it preventing me from using the mower?

    Although the included internal SIM will function for 1 year once it's activated, the subscription will expire after 1 year, and Worx's website won't let you renew the SIM if you are outside of the USA. Hugely overpriced for something that's only going to function for a year. This product should not be sold in Canada if Worx isn't going to properly support Canadian customers.

    Subscription was not mentioned at time of purchase

    As the other review suggested, this product was not originally advertised as a subscription based device. In addition to that, the device has screws designed so that it is permanently set in the machine, now that it is in place the app has a huge pop up that covers the page prompting me to renew the subscription, which I have no intention of ever doing since it was never disclosed that a subscription would be required. Worx- when you read this review, I suggest you change your service model, or grandfather those of us who purchased the module prior to the "subscription" disclosure. I do not plan to contact you for you to fix your issues, if you wish to contact me to correct your problem, that is fine by me.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    Q: I installed my Find My Landroid in the unit but on the app there is a message that 'SIM activation in progress'. Is there something I need to do to complete this?

    • A: I had the same issue.  When I called, they ran a sim activation process remotely so you just have to be on wifi and call them.  It was a quick setup and they knew exactly how to correct it.  I haven’t had any issues since.

    Q: 1. Does the GPS do anything for the mowing navigation in the program? 2. Does GPS work with WiFi if with in range, if cellular subscription expires?

    • A: Once your sim card expires your landroid will read "offline" even when connected to wifi. This means if you opt-out of the sim contract you will not be able to control your landroid via the app even when the landroid is connected to wifi. You also cannot remove the "find my landroid" because it has screws designed so it can't be removed once installed.

    Q: Does the GPS modular have its own battery or does it run off the same 20v battery as the landroid? Could someone disable the GPS feature by simply removing the battery pack?

    • A: after many communcations with worx support reps. i found this gps unit useless for theft purposes. the wifi is so weak it wont work in your yard at all so you cant control in app, when other devices do work in yard. although the gps unit is useful for controlling the landroid threw the app. and this does not use gps satilites, just cell towers to aprox where its at, like 20 feet. even though it advertises it works without battery, it dont. i tested with support, and got nothing but a run around. if your a thief all you have to do is power it off, and put in car, take home, dont power on, just part it out, thats it. they dont know how often it sends gps locations, in my case it didnt send location for over 10days and the reps have a very difficult time getting any info on this topic, even there seasoned reps. so basically you pay 50 a year to use the app and the theft prevention is useless....

At this time, we do not have one for the Landroid Vision but we are working on this! If you have a Landroid Vision please be on the look out for new product attachments being released!     Q: Does Find my landroid GPS with activated sim work without the 20V battery? Please answer this question, I believe it’s important, if it doesn’t work without battery then it would not prevent theft, it’s pretty easy to remove the battery and go with it.

    • A: Thank you for your question. As of right now we have a few different networks being used. Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile (2G), AT&T Mexico, Telus, Rogers and Bell. The first year is free, we are working with the service provider to stablish the amount for when the trial time ends.
