Excellent Sleeping pad for the price!

This is a very comfortable thick pad for car camping or an extra bed. This is my second one as I had to replace my old one due to getting it too close to the wood stove (my fault.) You can’t beat it for the price.. a comparable branded pad from a hiking store would be $300-$400. The only thing I would say is the valve on this pad is different from the original one and does not seem to be as robust. It has a weird one way valve that you have to manually flip internally to inflate or deflate. Time will tell if it holds up.

    A real bed

This thing is awesome. Way better than an air matress, super easy to self inflate and deflate afterwards. It does not fold up very small is the only con.

    Perfect car camping mattress

This is the perfect mattress for car camping! After years of using lightweight thermarest-style sleeping pads and having to supplement with coats and blankets, this pad is so much better.

Q: How does this compare to the Mondoking 3D? Hoping it’s a better value dupe!

    • A: I don't own a MondoKing but researched it before buying this one. I think it might very well be on th same level of comfort, at a better price point.

Q: How long should this pad take to inflate? I've had it open for over an hour and it's still flat. Both valves are open.

    • A: The valves are made up of 2 parts. To have them self-inflate, you must screw on the first part of the valve, (the part nearest the matress), and leave the second part of the valves open. The first time you let it inflate, it will take long, like 30 minutes. After that first time, it will be faster to self-inflate, like 5 minutes. you might still need to blow air in it a couple of blows. To deflate the matress, you need to open up the 2 parts of the valves. Even then, it is very hard to roll up. Even so, it is my FAVORITE mattress. SO comfortable. So much BETTER than just an air matress. This is made of an inside of foam and air.

Q: What are the dimensions of this pad when it's rolled up? And I mean rolled up by hand, not factory rolled up.

    2 Answers
    • A: Rolled up by hand, it is 32" long and 11" in diameter.

Q: Does it inflate on its own? Some comments state filling with an air pump?

    2 Answers
    • A: It is not recommended to blow into the valve, as air from your lungs would have moisture which can cause mold growth within the mat.
