Footprints are supposed to be smaller

Tent footprints are supposed to be smaller than the floor of the tent. This one sticks out so far that the rain fly drips onto it, and the water runs between it and your tent. The OPPOSITE of what it's meant to do. It should be an inch or two smaller on all sides to avoid this...we had to tuck it in to stay dry. Which defeats the purpose of a fitted tent footprint...
