Probably the best thermarest style mattress that I have tried. It self inflates very effectively. It keeps you off the ground. It is large and heavy so it’s really only appropriate for car camping.

Q: Has anyone tried to stack 2 of those to increase the comfort? As a side sleeper, I’m looking for a 4 inch option that wouldn’t cost me 300$+.

A: We have 2 of those since we're a 4 people family but we haven't tried to stack them for obvious reasons :) My uncle though took them both and stacked them on top of each other and was happy with the result. It's not like sleeping on a decent air bed but still comfortable.

Q: How much weight can this matress handle? How is it for side sleepers?

A: A 2” camp pad generally holds 225lbs comfortably, as long as you are a back sleeper. A side sleeper should consider using a 3” or a 4” to not bottom out.

Q: Is the core of this mat bonded to the inside surface to prevent uneven distribution of the air inside?

A: The core of the pad is foam, it is designed to stick to the fabric when the valve is opened and air flows in.

A: Self inflating mattresses should not be used without clearing the ground of debris to avoid any punctures in the double rip stop polyester outer shell.

A: The width once fully inflated is 48" so it is ideal for 1 to 2 users, depending on the size of the adult.

Q: How does this mattress do in winter weather? minus 15 to minus 20 °C?

A: The SI pad may take slightly longer to inflate on its own due to the cold air, but the performance of the mattress isn’t impacted. If camping in conditions that cold, I would recommend a thicker SI pad to increase the insulation between your back and the cold floor. Recommended would be 0765557, 0765558 and 0762919.
