Worked well until new batteries installed

I purchased this lock last June. Setup was easy including the app. Didn't have the ability to remote access the unit because we don't have an Apple iHome which was disappointing. Recently, it required the batteries to be replaced and that process was also easy. However, I've now replaced 2 sets of new batteries and it works for a brief period before the keypad no longer displays (the app still works). It appears to be a fault with the battery pack holder with one of the batteries not staying fully connected. We had given a code to our cleaners who could no longer access our place (twice!) when we weren't there, so it is now very frustrating.

Terrible lock

Bought this lock a few months ago and have had nothing but trouble with it being jammed. Go away for any length of time , I need to re program it. It's my first lock of this type and will be my last

Hello Angry,

We appreciate your feedback and your experience with our products is very important to us. To fix the jammed error, please perform the following steps. Install a fresh set of alkaline batteries and check your door alignment, ensuring the long mounting bolts are not too tight on the mounting plate. Also, it's very important to make sure that the jamb hole in the door frame is at least 1 inch deep. Next, perform the door-handing step below:

1. Open the door and extend the latch to the locked position.
2. Remove the battery pack.
3. Press and HOLD the Program button while reinserting the battery pack. Release button once the battery pack is installed. The status LED will flash red and green.
4. Press the Program button once more.
5. The latch bolt will retract about halfway in and then extend to learn the orientation of the door.

Q: Does this work with android as well? Also is there an auto lock if someone forgets to lock the door?

A: The Premis lock was designed to work with Apple devices and is not compatible with Android. Yes, the lock features an auto-lock function, which is enabled through the Premis app. The Auto-lock delay can be set between 30 sec. to 4 min. The Premis can also be programmed with a user code directly on the lock to gain access using the touchscreen and without using a phone.
