Best BBQ out there

This BBQ is the best you can get in this price range. No need to get the original $1200 Green Egg at Home Hardware. Easy to fire up with an electric igniter (which you have to buy). Easy to clean and it comes with a very durable cover. Egg is made with quality ceramic and stainless steel ONLY hardware. Side boards can pop off easily for cleaning. I use it several times a week and the result is always stellar. Will never go back to propane! This BBQ is the best value for money I have ever bought at CT. Get one before they're gone.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Charcoal Barbeque

This barbeque cooks better than than a regular charcoal barbeque. The ceramic interior keeps the moisture in and the briquettes last longer. On top of that the food is awesome! Great purchase!

Q: I would like to do smoking with this M-series unit; can it me controlled for a low temp 0f 200-225 as the other units were reported to?

  • A: Yep. You can control the temp quite well after you get the hang of it, right down to your range.

Q: How hot does this unit get on the outside? Can you use it safely on an apartment style balcony??

  • A: It gets HOT on the outside, and you will need to let it cool down for several hours after use before you can cover it again. Will be like any other bbq on a balcony.

Q: How is the size? My local CT only had the pro out, the larger version. It's a nice size but I much like the price of the 'M' better. I know it says it's 402sqin vs 596sqin but what do you guys think?

  • A: The bigger one is quite 'bigger' in my opinion. The M-series is perfect for me and the occasional three guests. If you plan to grill several steaks at once you might need the bigger one.

Q: how heavy is the unit and what are the dimensions of packaging? Do I need a van or truck for pick up>

  • A: Item is very heavy, and you will need two people to lift it. You will need at least a van to move it.

Q: For the Kamado M series, where would one put the pizza stone? On lithe lower grill or underneath the bottom grill? Also, no starter?

2 Answers
  • A: doesn't come with a pizza stone or electric starter, just the port only. I bought a cuisinart pizza stone canadian tire sells and it feels perfectly, but you do have to make a hanger for it

Q: Does the M come with the grilling stone like the pro?

2 Answers
  • A: No it did not include a grilling stone like the pro model. I was told the Cuisinart pizza stone fits well with this mode but I have not tried this myself..
