Nope, nope, nope!

Installed this on our RV prior to a long road trip last year. Worked for a few days, then the screen went blank and we were never able to get it to work again. Glad we got it at 60% off, but even at that price it's a waste of money & time.

Backup Camera

Great product, clear easy to understand directions for installation. Camera sends a clear picture to the monitor which is provided. I modified the installation and put it on my skid steer. It seems to be working great so far.

audio alert is not working

As soon as reversed shift audio alert start coming on right away.
alert supposed be on yellow and red line only when closed to objective.
Its really knowing me.Distance audio alert is not working.

Q: Could that back-up camera be used as forward front view camera with a push on/off power connection? Will the image mirror to the display?

A: Hello, yes the backup cam CAN be used as a front view camera if you install it on your front license plate. Just remember to "flip" it in settings.

Q: Can you mount the camera on the back of a trailer for a better rear view and wire it into the tail lights rather than the backup lights? (Vehicle pulling the trailer is a 2018 Jeep Trailhawk)

Q: I cannot pair my Type S BehindSight Distance Alert camera with the monitor. Is there an activation button on the camera? I have a 2000 Ford Lariat with a 5.4liter engine

A: Hello, Casimir. The camera itself does not have a pairing button. To pair: 1.) Turn on your vehicle and place in reverse gear. This will power the Monitor and the Camera. 2. On the monitor: a.) Press “Menu” b.) Go to “Pair Camera”c). Press “Parking Aid line” to confirm. The unit is now in pair mode - if the monitor is able to connect with the camera, the display will show “Pair OK”. If this does not work, remove the camera and attach the wires to the truck battery and repeat the steps above. If camera and monitor will not pair, give us a call (866) 294-9244 toll-free.

Q: Have one of these Yada cameras, it works fine. One problem, the metal bracket that attaches it to to plate has rusted off from the salt. Looking to see if I can purchase a new bracket

Q: Can the camera be wired to 12V ie. to tail light or hard wired so that it functions a rearview camera when driving?

A: Technically, it is possible to wire the camera to the running lights, leaving the camera always on. If you wire the camera to a constant power source, such as driving lights, the audio alert will always be on and could start beeping while the vehicle is driving. We do not recommend this. Your experience will be best if you use the reverse lights for the power source. This particular camera was designed to assist with specific driving functions like reversing, and parallel parking, not to be constantly running/on.
