It's the perfect size for a family of two and looks great on my counter. The handle makes it easy to carry out to the compost heap, and the bag holder inside helps keep everything clean. My only negative is that I can't find 4L bags to go inside and gave to use 10L.bags.

A: It does a good job of it but once you open that lid then it unleashes. Not sure how well it keeps fruit flies out though, sometimes see them buzzing around it. Can't tell though if thy can sneak in

A: Yes they have bags, but they are in biodegradable plastic and it is not all the cities that accept that
