Q: is the top breathable (mesh) and how thick is the rubber? I'm looking for a high quality pair of gloves as part of a Mother's Day gift for my mom :-) Would these be comparable to the Gardena brand? I was hoping to keep my purchase "in the family".

A: These gloves are made of fabric with palms coated in rubber, this provides better dexterity and protection when working with wet materials. Overall this is not comparable to Gardena ones as these are expected to be used for wider range of heavier duty projects.
