Wonderful swim aid

I bought this for my almost 3 year old. It is lightweight but keeps his head above water. He zooms all over the pool on his own. He figured out he has to kick and use his arms to get where he wants to go the first time he used it. It goes on in less than a minute. He is ready to learn to swim but will keep one for playing around. We tried a regular life vest first but he didn’t like it at all. It rode up and he had limited mobility.

Yes, I recommend this product.

A: The weight range that corresponds to our swim vests (labeled for children ages 2-4) is approximately 15-22kg / 33-48lb.

Q: Can this vest work for an almost 17 month old who weighs 20lbs? I know it says age 2-4yrs but no weight limitations. Thanks

A: The SwimWays Swim Vest is a part of the Learn to Swim Program and is not a lifesaving device. It would help to support a 20lb child, though it is not designed to replace a life jacket. Instead, it offers support to children learning to swim under close adult supervision.
