Swiffer Dry Sweeping Cloths, Gain Scent, 32-pk

Beware of this product. I accidentally grabbed a box of Gain Scented swiffer pads without realizing it. Previously all the pads were unscented so it really didn't require a close examination of the box. The toxic fumes from the Gain permeated my entire broom closet and everything in it, and overtook my whole kitchen and living room. My eyes were burning and it became hard to breathe. It was weeks before I was able to figure out what was causing the problem. I ultimately had to throw out almost everything that was in the closet, including mops, brooms, tape, the swiffer broom, tools, bags, etc. and I will have to replace my vacuum cleaner brushes at no small expense. I washed out the closet with vinegar, alcohol, and put activated carbon bags and bowls of baking soda and dried coffee grinds in the closet to absorb the odor, along with using fans and opening the windows. It's now been a few weeks and the odor still persists so yesterday I got an expensive new air purifier. The odor is only now beginning to mitigate but I will need to prime the closet with odor absorbing prime and then paint it. It's a lot of work for making the mistake of buying a box of Swiffer pads thinking it was like all the other boxes I had bought in the past. The company should indicate the Gain scent in a much bigger way and put a warning on the box. I know some people like this smell but it's almost impossible to eradicate and if you are sensitive to it, you're a goner. PS-- They wouldn't let me put zero stars.

I love Swiffer wet pads, however, I find that they come off while I am moping frequently. If you redesign them please make the pads a little bigger or the 4 pad holders a little bit stronger.

These baby's really work well for those fast cleans in between.

The added "Gain" chemical detergent scent is totally unnecessary and a sneaky marketing gimmick. The "Gain" scent logo is very small on a box that basically looks identical to the unscented cloths. For those of us that deplore chemical scents in our homes, that have been proven toxic to humans and animals, this is just marketing jive..."If it smells fresh it must be clean!"
