unreliable thermostat
a month ago
out of the box these feel solid and well built, unfortunately though the factory thermostat fails to keep the room at a reasonable temp, even cranked to the max setting it wouldn’t go above 15 degrees before turning off, i have 2 units and both exhibited the same behaviour, so this meant constantly using the timer to heat up the room which is a massive pain, i ended up replacing both thermostats with units from ouellet (KIT-OFM-TB6BL) which are thankfully interchangeable with some minor rewiring, now both units keep the rooms they are in at a proper temp even without being cranked, i definitely won’t buy these again until they fix the thermostats
No, I do not recommend this product.

Installée dans une s-d-bain, j'ai eu recours à un électricien question que le fil en place était trop court et je voulais un branchement avec le thermostat de l'ancienne plinthe qui était au niveau du plancher.
Travail professionnel, et fonctionnement du ventilateur/chauffe parfait, très silencieux.

heater died after a couple of years

Was good for a couple of years. Now it doesn't heat up, but the fan still works.

A: It’s an electric heater with a fan,, so no,, but it has a timer that can be turned on briefly without raising the temperature set button, great for quick heating instead of turning up the temp settings and then resetting the temp setting,, we use it in the bathroom for showers or baths,, gives that quick source of heat needed without raising the whole room temp over tine!

Q: Does the thermostat on this heater allow it to be turned completely off, so that it won't come on in sub zero temperatures?

A: No. The thermostat will maintain a temperature of approximately 10°C when set to minimum (knob turned fully counterclockwise).

A: The dimensions of the UHF1002TTW heater are as follows : 9 1/16" x 12 3/8". The rough-in size for the hole in the wall will need to be 7 5/8" x 10".
