This safe met my needs and expectations. Only downfall is the lack of light inside the safe, I recommend installing a small led light, I simply glued a led push button light to the inside and this accomplished the lighting issue. Overall the safe is very solid and sturdy with ample space for a variety of guns and other valuables. The customization of shelve placement is excellent.

Terrible locking mechanism

If you want to spend 20 mins trying to get the safe to actually lock then get this. The locking mechanism is beyond garbage. The shelves are quite poor quality as well. Locking this safe is pure luck. If you are lucky you will get it to lock the first few times. Look elsewhere for a safe.

Solid safe, decent price

I waited for this to go on sale and saved $200 which made this a good deal. The door does lift off, making it manageable for moving (an appliance truck/dolly strongly recommended). Lock functions well, door fits nicely. Comes with factory pre-set combination and cannot change it (currently the info in FAQs indicates that you can).
I would buy this again.
