Sport rack bike rack

Even though it says it’s for 4 bikes we could barely fit 3, and with much difficulty. Not sure if its because they are mountain bikes whereas the picture on the box is a road bike. But that’s not even the worst part, the bolt that holds the swing arm in, loosens as you’re driving. So the rack and your bikes would swing out as you are moving. All in all not a great bike rack, presently trying to return it, again with difficulty.

Hinged bike rack

Great bike rack. Well built with strong material. Everything lines up perfectly. I like the idea of bolting the hitch in place, as it makes for no wobble. Very impressed by the way it swings out of the way of our van door.

Un-usable and poor customer service

Pros: sturdy and heavy. Can hold a max of 3 bikes and straps are cheap and poorly designed. They do not fasten the bikes at all and it is not usable. Sportrack service asked for video of the straps and we sent it, then they ghosted us.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Does this work with toddler bikes and female bikes without an additional adaptor?

A: Depending on your bikes frames, it may handle the kids bikes and ladies bikes without an adapter. It is a large rack and 4 adult bikes fit no problems for us. My daughters kids bike fit. Now i use the adapters for the 2 ladies bikes we have, it’s just easier. Super awesome rack. I had had a few and this is by far the best. Especially for the price.

Q: What about security? Is there a hole somewhere for your own cable lock to loop through? Is there a locking bolt or third party for the rack itself?

A: Due to the design of this bike rack, SportRack cannot provide integrated locks with these straps (as these could be easily cut). You could use a cable style lock to secure all mounted bikes together ensuring minimal slack, or run the cable down to one of the safety chain loops on the hitch itself. We do have a locking hitch pin that would work with this carrier it’s Canadian Tire product number is 040 1102 or 040 1106.
