Hold on to your warranty, you will be needing it!

This is a very expensive toaster, as all SMEG items are. You get what you pay for... Well not here! With my pale green Smeg 2 slice toaster it started giving me problems just after the 1 year mark. I set the toaster aside and waited too long, as when I looked in to the warranty it had expired. What a waste of 3 x $100 bills. My SMEG bad experience means I will no longer look at any SMEG item. It is NOT quality and so overly priced. Ciao SMEG

Doesn’t last and doesnt toast well.

I bought the toaster and right from the start, it would not toast one side of the bread when just one slice was inside. I got it replaced on warranty without a hassle. Within 2 years, the new SMEG toaster started doing the same thing. We toast about 10 slices a week so not a really heavy user of toasters. We have no kids so it wasnt dropped or banged or used inappropriately. This is a beautiful toaster that just doesn’t work well or last. I reached out to SMEG and didn’t even get a reply. Buy something else.
