I got my first Calcutta 25 years ago. I have used and abused this reel for years, and it has not had 1 drop of oil or repair of any kind. I just bought another. This reel reeling ratio and drag is the best in the business. When salmon run towards you, they don't stand a chance. Nothing loosens, and you don't EVER hear that "click click" of your drag loosening. Once you own one, you will own two! I have used them and when I entertain people on my boat, I never worry about amateurs breaking line and losing precious tackle. This drag system is number one in the business!
